02/15/2012 - Gold and silver continued to trade within the narrow range established by both metals earlier this month. After having seized some early gains today, both metals fell by mid afternoon only to finish up silightly by the close on COMEX.

02/01/12 - After gaining 11.08% in January, gold rose another $9.30 to finish at $1,747.10. Silver, after posting 19.11% return for the first month of the year picked up .545 to finish at $33.807.

01/05/2012 - Gold fought off early selling pressure to finish up for the third day in a row. The spot month contract finished at $1,620.10, a level not seen since December 21st and just shy of reaching its 200-day moving average.
